Having studied Greek and Roman Studies at Exeter University, Anna decided to embark on a PGCE and was offered a place at Cambridge University for a Classics PGCE. Her first position was at Yateley School in Hampshire as a teacher of Classics and History. From here she moves on to St John's School in Marlborough where she taught mainly Classics and some English as well as temporarily sharing the acting Head of department role covering a maternity leave. After 3 years she decided she needed a change of scene and headed to North Carolina where she was employed as a Latin Teacher at South Iredell High School through the VIF Program. On returning to the UK after 2 years she completed her MA on the City of Rome at Reading University. After this she secured a job at her current school, The King's School, Peterborough as teacher of Latin. She grew the subject from being off timetable for KS3 and with small GCSE and tiny A Level groups to a department of two with sizeable classes in GCSE Latin and A Level Class Civ. She has been a PGCE mentor with Cambridge Uni for 18 years and on the Management Committee for CSCP for 6 years.
